Dear Mr. ______:

Thank you for your willingness to consider a sponsorship opportunity from Arts for Learning for our market research survey.

Arts for Learning is sending a survey to Indiana educators who have utilized our various programs in recent years. This survey will provide Arts for Learning with information needed to improve our current programs and better serve the needs of our educators.

As a reward for the educators who complete the survey, we would like to offer the chance for two winners to earn art supplies for their classroom.  For this purpose, Arts for Learning is requesting a $250 sponsorship from Teachers Credit Union to fund the gift baskets for our two selected educators.

With this gift, we will include the Teachers Credit Union logo on the survey page with a direct link to the TCU website at the bottom of the questionnaire. This link will be accompanied by a short paragraph about how educators can take advantage of TCU’s many great offers.  In addition, Arts for Learning will promote Teachers Credit Union through our social media outlets, reaching more than 7,000 viewers, many of which are educators.

Arts for Learning, the Indiana Affiliate of Young Audiences, empowers children to achieve their creative and intellectual potential through arts in education. Founded in 1961, Arts for Learning is the oldest and largest provider of professional arts education programs for children in the state. Part of a national network of more than 30 affiliates, Arts for Learning is fully certified by our national office. We fulfill our mission through performances, workshops, and residencies conducted by professional teaching artists in-school, afterschool and out of school. We augment this activity with an array of professional development opportunities designed to help teachers and teaching artists bring the arts into the school environment more effectively. Arts for Learning’s programs serve more than 61,000 preschool-high school students in approximately 30 counties in the state annually, with the majority of our work concentrated in Marion and the surrounding counties

Again, thank you for your consideration. Please let me know if you would like to discuss any of the opportunities outlined above in greater detail. I can be reached at (317) 925-4043 ext. or mwatson@artsforlearningindiana.org. I look forward to hearing from you!

Dear ,

Lindsey O’Brien Kesling knew no boundaries while exemplifying character, hope and perseverance. She encouraged others to boldly stretch outside their comfort zone, be themselves and not judge others. Shortly after graduating from Indiana University where she was a “Big Sister” to one of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bloomington Members, Lindsey O’Brien Kesling’s life ended at the age of 22 due to accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Lindsey O’Brien Kesling Performing Arts Program (LOKPAP) is dedicated to honoring the fullness of Lindsey’s short life by supporting her passions: helping children achieve their dreams, mentoring those less privileged, supporting their potential in the performing arts and by being a friend.

LOKPAP brings together small group performing arts classes and mini-camps in choir, drama, violin, and dance.  These experiences aim to get members active and learning in new ways, inspire self-confidence, and spark lifelong interest in the performing arts. With 5-10 members participating in each class, members receive a high-level of attention and training.  Each semester, the classes culminate in a Performing Arts Showcase, which presents at a public venue and features club members who have participated in the Program’s classes.

This could not happen without the assistance and generosity of 20 instructors.  These instructors come to the club each week out of their busy schedule to plan a curriculum and give these members a memorable experience through the performing arts.  These instructors need to be recognize for their hard work and dedication.

I am asking you today for a donation of 20 tickets for each of the instructors to attend an event at the IU Auditorium, specifically for next semester. Your gift will show our instructors how much we appreciate their hard work from this semester. Your gift will be recognize at the Fall Showcase on December 6, 2013 at City Hall.

Thank you for your consideration of our request and I look forward to hearing from you about your decision.

Sincerely,

Sarah Mihich

Dear ,

The Wabash Valley District of the Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America, is proud to serve the youth in Vigo, Sullivan, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion, and Clay counties through fun and educational programs designed to build character and values.

Currently we serve 43 Cub Scout packs for boys in first through fifth grades. Every fall season, we participate in selling popcorn to help raise funds for our cub scouts so they can receive awards and attend events.  To help raise funds through popcorn, our cub scouts do various events throughout the fall such as Popcorn Blitz (door-to-door selling), store front selling, and individual sells.

To get the young scouts excited and motivated about selling popcorn, we want to provide scouts prizes. I am asking for a gift card, that I could use to purchase small items for prizes for about 50 scouts. We appreciate any gift you are able to give. Should you need additional information, please contact me at smihich@sycamores.indstate.edu or at 219-487-2757.

Yours in Scouting,

Sarah Mihich

Date,

Dear,
Downtown Terre Haute is continuously trying to find ways to preserve, create, and promote a downtown neighborhood that is a vibrant hub for businesses, entertainment, government, arts, and educational activity;  attracting both local residents and area visitors. We have done this by giving our support to local merchants in Terre Haute in any way possible to help the success of Downtown Terre Haute.
Downtown Terre Haute continues to grow which draws in more tourist and residents. To help bring people to the Downtown Terre Haute region we want to provide a directory to those who are not familiar with the area. This will help the economic growth of the Downtown Terre Haute’s merchants by bringing in new customers. Downtown Terre Haute, Inc. has partnered with Indiana State University to create a directory of all of the local merchants in the Downtown Terre Haute area. We want to put the directory in                      which will be available to all residents and tourists in Terre Haute. The printing costs for the maps are going to be approximately $5,000.
We are asking for a sponsorship from your organization. There are two levels your organization can give: $500 dollars your organization’s name will be on the map bold or by giving $1,000 for this project, your organization’s logo will appear on the map which will be available to the residents of Terre Haute. This sponsorship will help promote and market your organization. With our expenses increasing every year; we rely on sponsorships to preserve, create, and promote a downtown neighborhood.

Sincerely,
